It was announced this past week that Forney High School Director of Bands, Cody Newman, was one of 30 teachers is the nation awarded the Country Music Association Foundation Music Teachers of Excellence Award.Cody Newman came to FHS in 2020 when he accepted the position virtually, due to the pandemic.
