Students lose significant knowledge in core subjects over the summer break, and those losses increase each year. There’s much parents can do to help their children continue learning over the summer. U.S. Dermatology Partners, one of the leading dermatology groups in the country, is pleased to announce the opening of its newest office location in Forney, Texas. The new office is part of the organization’s Outreach Program serving rural communities and will offer convenient access to dermatology and skin cancer treatments to patients in the Kaufman County area. The new Forney office will provide treatment for conditions such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, and skin cancer for patients ranging in age from childhood to seniors. At this office, Certified Physician Assistant, Kelsey Bodell, will be the primary practitioner at the Forney office with oversight from Board-Certified Dermatologist, Dr. Brad Graham.
Will Grooms of Forney, Texas, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Grooms was initiated at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Grooms is among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.
