College Board National Recognition Program Award Goes to Three Crandall High School Students

Students at Crandall High School earned academic honors from the College Board National Recognition Programs. These programs celebrate students’ hard work in high school and showcase their strong academic performance. The academic honors for rural area, Black, Indigenous, and/or Latino students are an opportunity for students to share their strong academic achievements with colleges and scholarship programs that are seeking to recruit diverse talent.

Common Signs of Mental Health or Substance use Disorders in Young Adults

Young adulthood is a period of incredible transition marked by personal growth and a newfound sense of independence. Many young adults confront that transition while simultaneously dealing with a mental health issue or substance abuse disorder. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, young adults between the ages of 18 and 25 had a higher prevalence of serious mental illness when compared to adults between the ages of 26 and 49 and adults age 50 and older.

Potential Warning Signs for Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is the most commonly occurring cancer in women across the globe. According to the World Cancer Research Fund International, there were more than 2.26 million new cases of breast cancer in women in 2020. Such figures are sobering, but it's important to recognize that breast cancer survival rates have improved dramatically in recent decades, providing hope to the millions of women who may be diagnosed with the disease in the years to come.

Plants are resilient beings. Think about the tiny green leaves sprouting in sidewalk cracks and street edges you’ve seen as you walk past. A tiny spot of soil, a bit of water now and then, and a seed sprouts into a growing, albeit tiny, plant. But take that same seed, plant it in a pot with good soil, ample water, and fertilizer, and look at the difference!
