The Days of the Grant Train

The Days of the Grant Train

The two best days in the Forney Education Foundation’s year occurred this past week on October 26th and 27th when the Grant Train rolled through the northside on Thursday and the southside on Friday. You may ask why are these the two best days. They are the best because this is when FEF visits the classrooms of the teachers whose grants were chosen and informs them and their class that their requested grants have been funded. Sometimes the announcement is met with tears of joy, but it is always met with huge smiles and thank yous. This year was no different, and every year is special as these dedicated education professionals have oftentimes been to some conference or workshop where they were taught about something new or innovative that can enhance the classroom experience for their students.
