The City of Forney has recently approved economic incentive agreements with 3MEBS/StreetLevel Investments for the Villages at Gateway project. The Villages at Gateway, which will be located near North Gateway Boulevard and U.S. Highway 80, will be a regional hub for retail, services, and dining, catering to both Forney residents and beyond. This development will feature major retailers, including Target, HEB, and Home Depot. In addition to these major brands, the Villages at Gateway will include convenience retail, fast casual, sitdown restaurants, and more.

A resting heart rate can be a good indicator of health. According to the Mayo Clinic, generally speaking, a lower heart rate at rest implies more efficient heart function and better cardiovascular fitness. Athletes tend to have lower normal resting heart rates than non-athletes. The City of Forney is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Michael Lewis, husband of former Mayor Amanda Lewis. Michael was a dedicated and active member of the Forney community, serving as a philanthropist, Angel Flight pilot (completing over 140 missions), and chaplain at Genesis Center North Texas. His unwavering commitment and impactful contributions to our community will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
